Wendie A. Berg, MD, PhD, FACR, FSBI, is Professor of Radiology at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She led ACRIN 6666, Screening Breast Ultrasound and MRI, and analyzed multicenter trials evaluating PEM vs. MRI and shear-wave elastography. She co-edited 3 editions of Diagnostic Imaging:Breast. She is currently analyzing a prospective trial of ultrasound after tomosynthesis and leading trials of contrast-enhanced mammography vs. tomosynthesis: 1) women with a personal history of breast cancer; and 2) women who meet Pennsylvania criteria for MRI screening, esp. those with dense breasts.
