Dr. Poplack is a professor of radiology at Stanford University School of Medicine. He is recognized internationally as a breast imaging educator and for scientific contributions in the field of breast imaging technology development of alternative breast imaging technologies and digital breast tomosynthesis. He serves as MPI for two R01 NIH grants involving ultrasound - optical breast imaging, including assessing the utility of US-DOT in decreasing the rate of benign biopsy and developing a photo-acoustic reflective tomography ultrasound system. Dr. Poplack is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology and the Society of Breast Imaging.
