Melissa Durand, M.D., FSBI is an Associate Professor of Diagnostic Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at Yale University School of Medicine. She is a breast imaging subspecialist with a primary research role focused on breast cancer screening and diagnosis with Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT). She served as the Yale principal investigator of a multisite collaborative DBT research group that has co-authored several landmark papers on DBT. She received a Lion Heart Pilot grant to evaluate the clinical performance of synthesized mammography. In addition, she is working with RAD-AID to create the first breast imaging fellowship in Ghana.
