Dr. Gao is a member of the breast imaging section of the Department of Radiology at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. She is the director of the breast imaging fellowship program at NYU. Her research interests focus on advanced imaging techniques and improving breast imaging outcomes. She serves as a consulting editor for the American Journal of Roentgenology and is a deputy editor for the RSNA case collection. She is a fellow of the Society of Breast Imaging.
