Professor Gilbert is Head of Department of Radiology, University of Cambridge, providing leadership to the imaging community responsible for research and undergraduate teaching. Her clinical work and research is focused on imaging techniques relating to breast cancer and oncology. She undertakes risk adaptive breast screening using Tomosynthesis, Abbreviated MRI, Whole Breast Ultrasound and Contrast Enhanced Mammography and uses functional and molecular imaging techniques to monitor and understand tumour physiology. Prof Gilbert is President of European Society of Breast Imaging and Chair of the Breast programme subcommittee of RSNA. Professor Gilbert has over 230 peer reviewed publications, 5 book chapters.
