Dr. Johnson is Chief of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at the San Francisco VA Health Care System and Professor of Medicine at UCSF. Her clinical work centers on caring for patients in the ICU and her research is focused on tunderstanding the role of alveolar type I cells in lung injury and repair. She is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and serves as Associate Chair of DEI for the UCSF Department of Medicine.
