A friendly debate among colleagues between a make-believe primary care physician and a breast radiologist. They will discuss the benefits of screening and lifesaving exams to reduce breast cancer deaths and reduce morbidity from advanced breast cancer and also the well publicized presumed risks of screening such as false positive call backs, overdiagnosis, anxiety, radiation risk, health care costs.
Attendees should 1. Understand the evidence-based benefits of mammographic screening. 2. Review the much publicized criticisms and harms of screening. 3. Demonstrate talking points to debate the benefits versus risks of screening and influence the radiologist's ability to advocate effectively for screening
