This session will provide a brief discussion of why including patient-specific initial method of detection, such as screening mammography, in cancer registries is critical to understanding the risks and benefits of modern screening technology to inform recommendations and public policy. We will also briefly discuss how radiologists can help accurately and prospectively facilitate this goal to ultimately benefit patient care.
