Ed Hendrick, PhD, Clinical Professor of Radiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, has dedicated his career to improving the quality of breast imaging. He served as the physics chair in establishing the American College of Radiology’s Mammography Accreditation, MRI Accreditation, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy Accreditation, and Breast MRI Accreditation Programs. Dr. Hendrick helped define ACR and FDA federal standards for mammography equipment and quality control and was lead author of all four editions of the ACR’s Mammography Quality Control and Stereotactic Breast Biopsy QC Manuals, in addition to serving as co-author of the recent Digital Mammography and MRI QC Manuals. He was a charter member of the FDA’s National Mammography Quality Assurance Advisory Committee and co-chair of the Agency for Health Care Policy’s Panel on Quality Determinants of Mammography. He served as principal investigator of the first trial of digital mammography and as co-PI of the ACRIN DMIST trial. He served as both Treasurer and President of the Society of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and is a fellow of ACR, SBI, AAPM, SMRI, and the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. Dr. Hendrick's scientific publications have supported adoption of new technologies in breast imaging and have contributed greatly to preserving the right of U.S. women to have access to screening mammography.

Dr. Partridge is a Professor of Radiology and Research Director of the Breast Imaging section at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA. She earned a PhD in Bioengineering with a focus in medical imaging physics from the joint graduate program at University of California, Berkeley and UC San Francisco. At UW, Dr. Partridge leads the Quantitative Breast Imaging research laboratory developing advanced MRI acquisition and analysis techniques for clinical breast applications. A primary focus of her research is development and clinical validation of non-contrast diffusion-weighted MRI for breast imaging. Her research group works to improve breast cancer screening technologies and to improve outcomes through better differentiation of high and low risk disease and more accurate assessment of treatment efficacy. She collaborates closely with multidisciplinary clinicians and scientists and mentors numerous students and trainees. She is an active member in multiple national cancer and imaging cooperative groups and has served as chair and co-chair of two national breast MRI clinical trials through the ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group (ECOG-ACRIN trials A6702 and A6698).
