This panel session will highlight difficult cases by showing examples of wounds and treatments with focus on topics such as: The leg is swollen – what am I missing?; The problem is the saphenous vein (Identifying lower extremity venous disease and what do you look for? What do you see? And how do you treat it?); The hybrid approach - combining endovascular with surgery and how to persevere and treat racial disparities.

Learning Objectives:

Be able to incorporate T.I.M.E.R.S and NERDS and Stones as a clinical assessment and healing algorithm wound care
Be able to explain what you would see clinically when your patients are moving through or stuck in the phases of chronic wound healing.
Be able to use the step-up and step-down clinical approach to clinical assessment and treatment when managing a chronic wound
