Courtney Sprague Aldridge, PA-C, grew up in North Carolina and San Antonio. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Genetics in 1998. After teaching high school for two years, Courtney decided to return to school to become a Physician Assistant. She completed a three-year program in the School of Allied Health at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in the very competitive Physician Assistant program. She passed her National Examination as a certified PA in 2002. Following graduation, Courtney worked for five years in a busy medical and cosmetic dermatology practice under the direction of Dr. Vivian Bucay. She joined Dr. O’Quinn at the South Texas Skin Cancer Center in 2007. Courtney Aldridge has a hand in all parts of the practice working as a team with Dr. O’Quinn, including pre-operative consultations, post-operative care, timely patient communication, and assisting Dr. O’Quinn in surgical procedures. Courtney is a gifted Physician Assistant with extensive knowledge of dermatology.
Courtney continues to hold an appointment as Adjunct Clinical Faculty of the School of Allied Health at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and trains PA students as a Clinical Preceptor. She has spoken at many Physician Assistant conferences on different topics in dermatology at the State and National Level.
