Fish skin xenograft from cold-water fish is a relatively recent option that shows promising preclinical and clinical results in wound healing. This session will examine the science and latest publications on the use of fish skin in a variety of chronic and complex wound applications – from head to toe. Illustrated by real-world cases, this session will explore clinical outcomes utilizing fish skin on a variety of chronic and complex wounds and in surgical applications.

Learning Objectives:

Examine the hallmarks of tissue building in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering
Evaluate the science and evidence of fish skin and results from a multicenter, randomized controlled trial assessing the efficacy of fish skin graft compared with standard of care in the management of diabetic foot ulcers
Explore, via cases, the application of fish skin in a variety of wounds from moh’s surgery to diabetic foot ulcers
