Dr. Henderson is a professor of pediatrics, chief of pediatric hematology, oncology and stem cell transplantation, director of the Childhood Cancer Survivor Center at the University of Chicago, and co-leader of the cancer prevention and control program for the University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center. She also is chief of the cancer and blood diseases service line for the Chicagoland Children's Healthcare Alliance. She is a graduate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She completed her pediatrics residency at Johns Hopkins and her pediatric hematology, oncology and stem cell transplantation fellowship at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Children's Hospital Boston combined program. She received an MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health. She is an NIH-funded investigator who is focused in the long-term outcomes of childhood, adolescent and young adult cancer survivors. She is a graduate of the 2018 President Leadership Scholars program, serves on the American Society of Clinical Oncology Board of Directors and the National Cancer Institute Cancer Prevention Committee.
