GW’s of modules are shipped and installed each year and plant owners often don’t have a plan for testing what they are buying until there is a problem. This poster offers a proposal for when and how to test at various stages of deployment such as installation, weather events or ownership transfer, with a special emphasis on the new technique of UV Fluorescence. The plan can be implemented immediately and the recommended technologies are currently available. Asset owners, operating companies, installers, finance companies and insurers can all benefit from an agreed upon test plan which establishes a baseline for module performance.
