If you've seen one microgrid, you've only seen one microgrid. The leveraged value of microgrids comes when they are interconnected into mini-grid-like networks. Adding shared local resources and a final connection to the bulk grid makes the perfect solution to issues of power surety, resiliency and lowest cost. This presentation will explain how individual microgrids can be interconnected into multi-tier networks in neighborhoods and communities. The generation and storage assets can be on either side of the meter and either privately or utility owned.
