According to the U.S. Department of Energy, residential housing accounts for 22% of the total primary energy usage in the nation. On average, over half of this energy is used for heating and cooling. This presentation describes the role of efficient ducted and ductless electric heat pumps, integrated into home microgrids, can help significantly reduce this load to enable the achievement of net-zero homes.
