Note: this session is being made available at lower cost because it is a government-run workshop.
This workshop, hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), will engage stakeholders on the current challenges and opportunities of building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). DOE seeks to identify the technology, policies, research needs, and infrastructure standards that can be improved to help foster greater investment in BIPV. Increased investment, innovation, and ease of installation should lead to increased solar capacity in the built environment beyond roof top applications. DOE's Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) and Building Technologies Office (BTO) expect to get feedback from this workshops that would assist in deciding its future activities. The workshop will include presentations from various experts related to the solar and buildings industries, and findings from its previous research.
