Nationwide EV policy has focused primarily on encouraging individual EV ownership, which is not an option for all consumers -particularly those in underserved communities. This session will review a report from the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC), Paving the Way: Enabling Equitable Electric Vehicle Shared Mobility Programs, makes the case for supporting more equitable EV transportation programs, with important roles for utilities, state and local governments, and the industry.
