The world population discards over 3 billion tons per year of municipal waste. Over half of this goes into landfills where it produces 800 million tons per year of greenhouse gases (GHG) as it decays. There is technology available, Base Facilitated Reformation (BFR) that can convert this waste directly into renewable hydrogen. This session will explore how the BFR process directly converts these wastes into clean, renewable hydrogen, which does not produce any GHG emission in its production or its use.
