Innovative technologies and new approaches are necessary for utility operators, project developers, and policymakers to mitigate risk and modernize the grid to create a resilient fueling system that provides equal benefit for urban and rural communities. This session will explore novel technology approaches, highlighting a project developed through a California Energy Commission (CEC) BRIDGE grant to deliver energy services such as backup power, direct integration with renewables, and bi-directional power flow.
