Project Account Manager Solar Energy TE Connectivity Garner, North Carolina, United States
Solar photovoltaic power has come to the forefront of today’s urgent climate conversation. Governments, Utilities, and Engineering Procurement Companies (EPC) are looking for ways to facilitate and accelerate solar farm implementation. At TE Connectivity (TE), we’ve redesigned the solar farm to reduce installation costs by up to 40%, which can enable more projects to become a reality. Our dedicated solar engineers have simplified conventional solar farm architecture by reducing the number of cable runs required. TE’s Customizable Trunk Solution (CTS) is our cost-effective alternative to traditional solar installations. It has been deployed in large-scale solar farms across the United States, from Maine to California. The architecture of the CTS centralizes the disconnect boxes and clusters them at the inverter pad, which improves safety, efficiency, and total cost of ownership of the solar farm. In this poster, we will showcase how this solution reduces the number of connections and helps to minimize current leakage and the voltage drop across any entire solar farm. We will also demonstrate the savings in terms of material costs and labor resulting in more efficient operations.
