Anil Kumar has 40(+) years of experience in Plastics, Chemical and Allied industries. He has worked in R&D, Engineering, manufacturing, and various roles in business development and management including Vice President of Engineering; and also as Director of Sales.
His educational background includes Master's degree in Chemical Engineering (Polymer Science and Engineering) from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ, as well as in Business Management from Stevens and NYU.
For last 29 years he has been working with BASF Corporation, one of the largest chemical companies in the world. He has led various development projects on innovations in technologies as applied to Solar applications of Engineering Plastics and Polymer Composite materials during last 11 years. While working with a group of technical experts, Anil has led the development of new materials, long term test data as needed for solar applications (such as 29 years exposure to outdoor conditions in high solar radiation environments). He and his team have contributed towards Solar industry standards developments and new designs. Anil has been a long time member of Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE). Anil has presented technical papers both in Plastics Industry and in Solar Industry conferences on innovations in Engineering Plastics for applications in Solar applications.
