Director of Industry and Innovation
FREEDM Systems Center at NC State
Ken is Director of Industry and Innovation at the FREEDM Systems Center, a smart grid research center headquartered at NC State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, he manages industry relationships for the Center, promotes the commercialization of center developed technologies, and helps students make connections for internships or full time employment. He manages Center marketing activities including website, newsletter, and conference trade show booth. Ken also serves as a mentor for the NCSU Solar District Cup team. Prior to this role, he worked in air quality and industrial energy efficiency. He holds a BS in Physics from Furman University, a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech, and a Masters in ME from the University of Texas at Austin.
