Carson Bates (M’09) received the B.S. degree in engineering with electrical specialty in 2010, the M.S. in electrical engineering in 2013, and the Ph.D. in electrical engineering in 2018, all from the Colorado School of Mines, Golden, CO. He currently works as a full-time engineer at NEI Electric Power Engineering in Wheat Ridge, CO, where he provides high and medium voltage electric power design engineering services including substation P&C, SCADA, collector system, and transmission line (overhead and underground). His Ph.D. dissertation is focused on underground cable ampacity.
