Co-author of over 50 papers, presentations, and posters, pro bono for TLF, since year 2000 on alternatives to electricity systems for transforming the world's largest industry from ~ 85% fossil to ~ 100% renewable, CO2-emission-free (CEF) energy sources, as quickly as we prudently and profitably can. The attractive alternatives: Gaseous hydrogen (GH2) and liquid anhydrous ammonia (NH3) Carbon-free fuels via underground pipelines, with annual-scale firming storage for < $ 1.00 / kWh capex, in large salt caverns for GH2 and in large "artmospheric" surface tanks for NH3. AASI owns a 13-turbine windplant of small (50 kW nameplate) turbines equipped with squirrel cage induction motors as generators, in San Gorgonio Pass in Palm Springs, CA. AASI has proposed using the windplant, plus a co-located PV array, as an R&D&D testbed for off-grid or on-grid production of hydroigen (H2) and / or anhydrous ammonia (NH3) carbon-free fuels from 100% of the captured wind + solar energy, at this pilot plant, at retrofitted wind and / or solar plants throughout California and the world, as demand for CEF H2 and NH3 increases. We invite funding partners to join the project for an IP share.
