Managing Director
OpenADR Alliance
Don Dulchinos is the Director of Market Facilitation for the OpenADR Alliance. In this capacity, Don seeks to drive the awareness and adoption of the OpenADR standards, both across global energy utility markets as well as in an expanding array of use cases connecting renewable energy resources, battery storage, electric vehicle managed charging systems, and in-home thermostats and other prosumer devices to the utility grid.
Before working for OpenADR, Don worked at Cable Television Laboratories, Inc., National Economic Research Associates, and the Library of Congress, working with C-level executives on telecommunications and Internet of Things (IoT) project management, business and product development, and public policy. An example of the IoT work was the design of a technical and commercial approach to a home energy management service to be provided by cable service providers. All projects included public policy components requiring participation and contribution in several Federal government research and regulatory agencies, including the FCC staff and commissioners. Duties included project creation, management and delivery, personnel management, budget management, project reporting at Board of Directors level, public presentations, and leading trade show demonstrations.
