Karla Santana is a professional with extensive experience in the renewables industry and construction sector. She is involved in matters related to health, safety, and environment within the development and evaluation of renewable energy projects. She is also a key member in understanding, evaluating, and processing the mechanisms of carbon credits. She has participated in the development and construction of more than 250 MW of renewable projects, participating in the Girasol Solar Park project. Girasol being the first of its to use solar trackers in the Dominican Republic and recognized by the Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum as the best large-scale energy project in 2022. Presently, Karla is in charge of quality control for the Solar project Esperanza, the largest project utilizing bifacial module technology in the DR. Karla is also an active member in the Youth Voices DR Chapter and National Association for Young Entrepreneurs
