Brion Fitzpatrick is the Director of Business Development for the Southeast at Nexamp, A Mitsubishi Company. Nexamp, a US based IPP, is a leading owner/operator across North America specializing in Community Solar, as well as Distributed Generation, Utility Scale, Solar + BESS, and Stand-alone Storage assets. Based in Atlanta, since 2008 Fitzpatrick has developed more than 75 projects across 20 states, including a recent federal project for the installation of 2.4 MWs on 12 Fed rooftops around the National Mall (Smithsonian, National Archives, and Natural History Museum). Brion also has expertise in solar policy, emerging solar markets, and the procurement of hard-to-capture incentives. In his spare time, he previously served as the Chairman of Georgia Solar Energy Association’s, and is currently Co-Chair of Policy GeorgiaSEIA and is the Vice President at TenneSEIA (TN). He is the 2010 recipient of GA Solar’s Solar Advocate Award, 2014 recipient of GA Solar’s Certificate of Appreciation, in 2015 he represented the State of Georgia’s solar community in delivering testimony to the EPA in support of Section 111(d) of the Clean Air Act, and in 2020 served as a Judge on DOE's Solar District Cup.
