California Environmental Justice Alliance
Alexis oversees the Energy Equity Team at the California Environmental Justice Alliance, and supports the movement for a Just Transition off of fossil fuels and into a clean, reliable, regenerative, democratic, and just energy system. Specifically, Alexis works on legislative and regulatory advocacy to advance energy equity and energy justice in California. This means creating and supporting policies that protect and meaningfully benefit working class communities of color in California, integrating their voices and leadership, and putting them at the frontlines of the clean energy transition. Like many energy justice advocates, Alexis sees climate change as both a crisis and an opportunity. The opportunity to transform oppressive systems and build a world where people matter more than profits is what motivates Alexis to do energy and climate work in the first place.
