Director of Energy Solutions
Inspiration Mobility
Dan is passionate about transportation electrification and distributed clean energy technology. As the Director of Energy Solutions at Inspiration Mobility, he co-leads the company’s initiatives to develop, own and operate EV fleet charging infrastructure, and is also an integral part of the company’s comprehensive EV solutions offering for fleet customers as an advisor and strategist on their charging and energy needs. In his previous role at the EV company Chanje Energy, Dan developed and built the partnerships to deploy an innovative overhead DC charging hardware solution and software platform for last-mile fleets to charge their EVs reliably and cost-effectively. He co-led a small team driving the buildout of charging infrastructure for FedEx across nearly 40 sites in California, where they installed 614 charging ports totaling almost 8 MW of power capacity, the largest single commercial fleet charging deployment in the US at the time. Prior to Chanje, Dan was a Managing Consultant at the engineering/consulting firm Black & Veatch, where he worked with leading electric utilities and other clients globally to better integrate renewable and distributed energy resources into the electric grid. This work included software implementation, integrated resource planning, EV infrastructure planning, valuing distributed solar, utility solar program design, and smart city feasibility assessments. He is known as a subject matter expert on EV fleet charging and distributed energy topics, and has spoken at numerous industry conferences, webinars, and podcasts on energy and e-mobility topics. He lives in the Los Angeles area with his wife and two young daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys discussing how future technology and business models will transform the transportation and energy industries, and leave a more sustainable world for the next generation.
