George L. Strobel II is a Partner, Co-Founder & Co-CEO of the Monarch Private Capital, LLC. Monarch was founded in 2005 and serves as a fund manager for ESG investments focused around federal and state tax credit opportunities. The company makes tax credit equity investments in renewable energy, affordable housing and historic rehabilitation projects for the corporate and individual marketplace. Monarch is also the largest broker of film credits in the US. George works with tax credit purchasers and their advisors to identify the most appropriate tax credit offering. His depth of experience and thorough understanding of the tax credit market as well as federal and state regulations ensures that buyers satisfy their tax liability objectives. He is particularly proud of the impact Monarch’s tax credit equity investments have made on their resident communities.
George is also Co-founder and Managing Director of Perigee Group, a boutique consultancy firm that provides investment, tax, estate and succession planning for high-net-worth individuals throughout the United States.
George serves as a member of ACORE’s executive committee and as a member of Monarch’s ESG committee. Prior to starting Monarch Private Capital, he was Partner at Arthur Andersen and served as Associate Director of the Arthur Andersen Center for Family Business. He has worked on financial and estate plans for many Forbes 400 individuals and family businesses throughout the United States.
George earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Davidson College, a master’s degree in Accounting and Tax and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida. He is a registered Investment Advisor and a licensed Life Insurance Agent.
