Caitie is an environmental consultant who specializes in designing pollinator-friendly habitats for solar energy facilities across the United States. She helped design the Virginia Pollinator-Smart Solar Program alongside a team of industry experts, and is currently working through the Program to help develop and bring local native ecotype seed sources to the commercial scale. Caitie actively works to encourage the establishment of native plant species throughout the country.
As a Senior Project Coordinator at Atwell, Caitie serves as a subject matter expert for native revegetation techniques (including pollinator habitat), special status species assessments, and wetland assessments. Caitie is also President of the Flora of Virginia Project, a non-profit that inspires conservation of Virginia's native flora through education, outreach, and production of the Flora of Virginia. She is Vice President of the Virginia Association of Wetland Professionals. She received her B.A. in Biology from St. Mary's College of Maryland in 2012 and her M.S. in Biology from the College of William & Mary in 2016.
