Co-founder & CEO
PVPallet, Inc.
Philip Schwarz is the Co-founder and CEO of PVpallet, Inc.-- the first company that is intensely focused on reducing packaging waste in the solar industry. Throughout his 15+ years in solar, Philip experienced first-hand the waste, costs, inefficiencies, and safety issues associated with the prevalent use of wood pallets for shipping solar modules. Philip knew there had to be a better solution, and he co-founded PVpallet in 2019 on a mission to solve the industry-wide packaging challenges. The PVpallet, Inc. team created the industry's first reusable, recyclable, and collapsible shipping solution that is purpose-built for solar modules and reduces 4 key waste streams in the solar industry - wood, solar module, labor, and plastic waste.
Philip is eager to engage with like-minded trailblazers that believe in driving positive change through collaboration and thinking beyond the status quo. His passion for innovation stems from his mechanical engineering and business education, combined with experience in all facets of the solar industry including project development, engineering, construction, and O&M. Beyond solar PV, he has also played an instrumental role on projects in the solar thermal, ethanol, and renewable natural gas industries.
On a personal level, Philip's passion for environmental stewardship comes from his love of outdoor backpacking and his desire to leave a better planet for his three children.
