Dr. Nicole Jackson joined Sandia as a postdoc in 2019 and is currently a technical staff member in the Energy Water Systems Integration Department. She received her B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering as well as M.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a M.S. degree in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Tech. Her expertise centers on using climate and weather data to quantify exposure and impacts from extreme weather events such as flooding, droughts, and wildfires to energy systems with a focus on hydropower, photovoltaics, and the grid at large.
