Navajo Power
Brett Isaac was born in Diné (Navajo) lands. He is of the Towering House Clan born for the Salt Clan and an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation. A graduate of Arizona State University, Brett returned home to work in his home communities, starting his first off-grid solar company Shonto Energy which installed over 200 residential solar units in remote parts of the Navajo Nation. He co-founded Navajo Power and currently serves as the Executive Chairman. He is leading the effort to help Tribal nations catalyze and maximize economic development and benefits from clean energy projects. Navajo Power is an Indigenous owned, mission-driven company committed to developing clean energy solutions to create a positive economic change for tribal nations. He is a 2021 Unreasonable Fellow and a member of the 2022 Grist 50 list.
