Dr. Laurie Burnham is a principal member of the technical staff and a member of the Materials, Devices and Energy Technologies Group at Sandia National Laboratories. She has multiple research interests, ranging from cross-climate PV performance and reliability challenges, to the characterizaiton of emerging technologies to resilience in the face of extreme-weather events. Burnham is the technical lead of the US DOE Regional Test Center program; in addition, she is founder of the PhotoVoltaic Collaborative to Advance Multiclimate Performance and Energy Research (PV CAMPER), a 10-member international organization focused on global research challenges. She also leads a multi-institutional investigation of PV system optimization in northern latitudes, as well as a field- and forensics-based study of PV connector reliability across the US.
