Disciplinary silos can impede progression of new agents into the clinic. This presentation will discuss both scientific and interpersonal barriers to collaboration, and present tools to build a community of practice in drug discovery: 1) understanding the design cycle and its operational imperative to a drug discovery project; 2) a culture of teaching and learning the most important pharmacological models; and 3) implementation of cross-functional hands-on tools such as early human dose prediction.
Learning Objectives:
Describe the design cycle and its operational imperative to a drug discovery project.
Recognize the importance of a culture of continuous learning around pharmacological models.
Implement cross-functional hands-on tools such as early human dose prediction.
