Principal Scientist II - Pharmacokinetic Sciences

Ryan Polli is a Principal Scientist II at Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research (NIBR) within Pharmacokinetic Sciences of Translational Medicine. At NIBR, Ryan supports the oncology and immuno-oncology discovery portfolios and translational aspects of biologic modalities such as multispecific antibodies and fusion proteins, cancer vaccines, nucleotide delivery, and CAR-T therapies.
Ryan obtained his bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Chemistry from East Carolina University in 2014. He then received his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University at Buffalo in 2019 under the mentorship of Dr. Joseph Balthasar, focusing his training on experimental and mathematical analyses of protein pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, protein engineering, and antibody discovery. Since joining NIBR in 2019, he remains actively involved in external working groups investigating FIH dose selection methods for immunomodulators and PKPD impacts of Fc engineering. Ryan has authored or co-authored more than 15 peer-reviewed papers, book chapters, and patents.
