Simulations Plus
Alexander (Al) Berg, PharmD, PhD, FCP, is Vice President of Operations at Simulations Plus, Inc., where he oversees business and services operations for the Cognigen Division and is a senior manager for both technical and non-technical staff. He is also an active scientific consultant with expertise in model-informed drug discovery and development. Prior to joining Simulations Plus, Dr. Berg held various positions in business development, drug development, and regulatory science. Most recently, he was a scientific director at the Critical Path Institute, supporting both the Duchenne Regulatory Science Consortium and the Critical Path to TB-Drug Regimens Initiative. He continues to actively support global health initiatives related to the development of new therapies to improve the treatment of tuberculosis. Dr. Berg completed his BS, PharmD, and PhD degrees at North Dakota State University, and was a clinical pharmacology fellow at the Mayo Clinic. He is a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology (ACCP), a recipient of ACCP’s McKeen Cattell Award, and has multiple peer-reviewed publications in the areas of biophysics, clinical pharmacology, and pharmacometrics.
