Jessica Basso is an Associate Scientist at Insmed Incorporated and is pursuing her Master’s in Applied Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. She received her Bachelor’s in Science at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University as part of their joint Biomedical and Health Science Engineering program. Her research interest focuses on drug discovery pharmacology and translational research. She has experience evaluating novel therapeutics in vitro and in vivo, developing and optimizing biomarker assays, and translating preclinical biomarker assays to clinical samples. She recently co-authored a comparative study investigating two neutrophil serine protease recovery methods from human whole blood and identifying an optimized method for clinical applications.
