Rabin Neupane is a final year Ph.D. student at the Department of Experimental Therapeutics, College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Toledo. Rabin's research in Dr. Tiwari's Cancer and Systems Therapeutics lab is focused on developing novel molecules and formulations for cancer treatment. He is particularly interested in tackling the challenge of anticancer drug uptake/delivery into cancer cells. Currently, involved in exploring the potential use of macropinocytosis route for delivery of small and large chemotherapeutic molecules with the aid of novel macropinocytotic inducers. Rabin is also involved in projects of small molecules/and or formulation screening (in-vitro cytotoxicity assay in cancer cell lines) to identify the potential lead and study the underlying cell death mechanism (apoptotic/and or non-apoptotic) induced by novel compounds in the cancer cells. Moreover, he also works in collaborative projects relating to transdermal permeation studies and analytical method developments and validation with UPLC for the analysis of small molecules.
