Tina Xiong is an associate principal scientist in Discovery Pharmaceutical Science at Merck. Tina received her Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Johns Hopkins University and Bachelor of Science from New York University. Tina is a passionate engineer with research experience from small molecule and biomolecular design, to peptide formulation to biologics characterization experience. Her work aims to develop mechanistic understanding of molecular systems, leveraging diverse methods that span from structural elucidation tools, next generation sequencing, to computational approaches. Tina has a strong interest in developing rigorous methods and workflow for design and selection of drug candidates and formulation. In her current role, her interest is to leverage her diverse knowledge and experience towards addressing unmet needs in global health.
