Kevin C. Johnson, Ph.D. is president of Intellipharm, LLC. He received his doctoral degree in Pharmaceutics from the University of Michigan in 1986 and immediately began his industrial career at Pfizer, where he was awarded the Pfizer Central Research Achievement Award in 1998. In 2000, Kevin founded Intellipharm, LLC as a company providing software for simulating drug dissolution, absorption, and pharmacokinetics and currently provides consulting services. He is known for the maximum absorbable dose calculation, for developing a model for simulating the dissolution of polydisperse drug powders, which is currently an option in GastroPlus, and for developing a deterministic model for simulating content uniformity based on drug particle size. Kevin has taught pharmacokinetics at the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy, physical and analytical chemistry at Connecticut College, and general chemistry at Quinnipiac University. He currently serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
