Nkiruka Ibeanu is a fourth-year PhD research student at the School of Pharmacy and Institute of Ophthalmology, University College London (UCL). She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy before completing her Master's degree in Pharmaceutics at UCL in 2018. Nkiru has several academic achievements and accolades, including being valedictorian (graduating with a first-class degree as an undergraduate student), and subsequently graduating with a distinction and making the Dean's List during her Master's degree year at UCL.
Nkiru has a number of joint publications focused on ophthalmic and long-lasting protein drug delivery and ocular modelling, including a patent publication for a novel in vitro ocular pharmacokinetic model. Her major interest area is the extended delivery of biopharmaceuticals via different routes especially antibody formulations and delivery to the back of the eye.
