Morgan B. Giles, PhD., is an Associate Principal Scientist at Merck & Co., Inc in Kenilworth, NJ. Morgan joined the Biopharmaceutics & Specialty Dosage Forms group at Merck in 2018 focusing on analytical characterization of polymeric implants and inhaled dosage forms. In 2019 she transitioned to Sterile & Specialty Products working on formulation development of polymer based long acting injectables (LAI) and implantables and most recently formulation development for large molecule sterile biologics. Prior to joining Merck, she received a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University and PhD. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Michigan where her research focused on long-acting formulation development using polymer matrices for intracellular delivery of peptides. She has been a member of AAPS since 2012.
