Kate Herr M.S is a scientist in Biologics Discovery and Development Sciences (BDDS) group within Preclinical Sciences and Translational Safety (PSTS), Janssen Research & Development (JRD). Her focus in on pharmacokinetics of cell and gene therapies working within the Molecular Biology group. She is based in Spring House, PA.
Kate earned an M.S in Neuroscience from Drexel University and a B.A. in Neuroscience and Psychology from Ursinus College. She has experience in both biologics and small molecule research with strong regulatory experience. She is a member of the EBF PCR working group which aims to bring harmonization to PCR validation and bioanalytic practices. Her current focus is the development and validation of PCR assays for discovery, pre-clinical and clinical assays.
Previous positions include Research Specialist at the University of Pennsylvania and work in the Neuroscience discovery group and the Specialty Bioanalytics groups at Teva Pharmaceuticals. Kate also has lecture experience in neurobiology of mental health at the Nursing School at The University of Pennsylvania.
