Jordan Bisanz is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Pennsylvania State University. The Bisanz lab combines wet lab experimentation with computational methods to understand how microbial communities (microbiomes) impact human health and physiology. His recent work has included mapping how dietary choices impact susceptibility to opportunistic infections and applying machine learning to uncover mechanisms of microbial drug metabolism through naturally occurring strain variation.
