Alex Goehler. MD, PhD is the Global Head, Clinical and Precision Medicine Imaging. This group delivers high-quality, innovative imaging endpoints to increase the impact of individual clinical trials, directs enterprise-wide imaging strategies across disease areas, and drives imaging AI workstreams.
Prior to joining BMD, Alex had a diverse and unique career path. He worked as a hybrid clinician-scientist, moving between Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) where he practiced clinical radiology and MIT-CSAIL where he worked as an imaging data scientist and mentored graduate students.
He obtained his MD/PhD from Charite Medical School, MSc in Epidemiology from the Technical University in Berlin, and MPH in Quantitative Science from Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. He did his radiology training at Yale Medical School, followed by fellowships in Abdominal Imaging and Intervention and Medical Informatics at BWH in Boston. He also spent time working with the Boston Consulting Group where he provided strategic and process consulting to Biopharma and medical device clients.
