Ah-Ng Tony Kong, PhD, Distinguished Professor, Glaxo Endowed Chair in Pharmaceutics, and Director of Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Science at Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University. He obtained his BS Pharmacy from University of Alberta, Canada and his PhD in Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Following his Postdoctoral training at the NIH, he joined Thomas Jefferson University, then University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Pharmacy and in 2001, he joined Rutgers University Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy. His research Interests include Drug Discovery & Development of Dietary phytochemicals; cancer prevention by dietary phytochemicals & botanicals; epigenetics/epigenomics and metabolomics; NRF2-mediated redox signaling; and Pharmacokinetics (PK)/Pharmacodynamics (PD) and PKPD modeling. Dr. Kong is the author of over 290 scientific publications with the combined h-index of 104 and 32,812 total citations (Google Scholar; July 5, 2022). He was recognized by Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher in 2014 and was named 2018 Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate Analytics. He was elected AAPS Fellow (2004) and AAAS Fellow (2016). He serves on NIH Study Section panels since 1998 and appointed as regular members four times (MEP, CDP-twice and XNDA). He is Editor-in-Chief of Current Pharmacology Reports.
