Mattie Hartauer is a second year pharmaceutical sciences PhD student at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill working under the supervision of Dr. Kim Brouwer. Before coming to UNC, Mattie received her B.S. degree in Biochemistry from Purdue University in 2021. Mattie's research interests include the use of novel 3D in vitro systems for transporter assessment as well as physiologically-based pharmacokinetic modeling to assess transporter-mediated drug-drug interactions. Mattie currently serves as the UNC AAPS Student Chapter President and works to provide professional development and networking opportunities for her peers. She was also involved in UNC's Graduate Student Organization, serving as a Division Representative for the 2021-2022 school year.
